Your Data, Your Rights
Stringerfy is committed to data protection. We give you the tools to control your data and make it easy to exercise your rights.
Last updated: 5 March 2026
1. Built-in data export
We believe you should be able to access your data whenever you want, without waiting for anyone to process a request. That's why Stringerfy includes a built-in data export feature directly in the platform.
One-click data export
From your account settings, you can export all your personal data in a structured JSON format. The export includes 12 categories of data:
The export covers data across all organisations you belong to and is delivered instantly — no waiting period, no manual processing.
2. Your data rights
Under the DIFC Data Protection Law (DIFC Law No. 5 of 2020, Part 4), you have the following rights over your personal data. Where possible, we've built tools directly into the platform so you can exercise these rights yourself.
Right of access
(Article 32)Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. You can also use our built-in data export feature to download your data instantly.
How to exercise: Use the data export feature in your account, or email us.
Right to rectification
(Article 33)Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data. Freelancers can update their profile directly through the platform.
How to exercise: Update your profile in the platform, or email us for other data.
Right to erasure
(Article 34)Request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal retention requirements. You can delete your account directly from the My Account page.
How to exercise: Use the account deletion feature, or email us.
Right to restrict processing
(Article 35)Request that we limit how we process your data in certain circumstances, for example while we verify the accuracy of your data.
How to exercise: Email us with details of what you want restricted.
Right to data portability
(Article 36)Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Our built-in export delivers your data as structured JSON.
How to exercise: Use the data export feature for instant download.
Right to object
(Article 37)Object to processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interest as the legal basis. We will stop processing unless we have compelling grounds.
How to exercise: Email us explaining what processing you object to.
Automated decision-making
(Article 40)You have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing. Stringerfy does not currently use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
How to exercise: No action needed — we do not use automated decisions.
There is no fee for exercising your rights. However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
3. How we protect your data
We take the security of your personal data seriously. Here are the key measures we have in place:
Encryption in transit
All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
Multi-tenant data isolation
Each organisation’s data is isolated at the database level. No cross-tenant access is possible.
Role-based access control
Access is restricted based on user roles. You can only see and act on data relevant to your responsibilities.
Audit logging
Sensitive actions are recorded in a tamper-evident audit trail with automatic PII redaction.
For a complete overview of our security practices, see the security section of our Privacy Policy.
4. How to make a request
Many rights can be exercised directly through the platform (profile edits, data export, account deletion). For anything else, contact us:
Email: privacy@stringerfy.com
We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and provide a full response within 30 calendar days. In exceptional cases, we may extend this by up to 60 additional days and will inform you if this is necessary.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the DIFC Commissioner of Data Protection at commissioner@dp.difc.ae.
For full details on what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with, please read our Privacy Policy.
